Long time no see… I’ve been a bit quiet lately as I've been trying to work my head around a few things.

Sadly one of our much loved fragrance suppliers has closed leaving us with no other option than to discontinue some of our scents. Whilst this was not on the plan for 2025 these things can’t be helped and we do believe that as one door closes another one opens. I know many of you will be sad to see some of your favourite scents gone however we hope this will make room for more new exciting fragrances that you will love. 💕

✨LETS GET TO KNOW EACHOTHER!✨

There is a lot more of you guys since I last introduced myself so I thought it would be fitting to have a chat and tell you where Smudgy Scents started. 💕

I’m Amy, the owner of Smudgy Scents. In 2019 I met my partner Ben online, when people ask us how we met I often feel like our story isn’t that exciting having met on a dating app but never the less its our story and quite honestly Smudgy Scents probably wouldn’t exist without him. I previously worked in retail for about 6 years, it had its ups and downs but when the job started to affect my mental health it was time to get out and start a fresh.

I knew I wanted to have my own business and had the idea of crystals, candles, home decor as my thing but needed to refine it to exactly what. Then it clicked, two things that help me when I feel anxious or down Crystals AND Candles combined! Great now we need a name, something meaningful, memorable, unique. This took the time and one day it just came Smudgy Scents (named after my late cat Smudge but also with the witchy vibes of smudging sticks and scented candles).

You will often find me and Ben both behind the stall at events and sometimes with our Cockapoo Ralph too! Come and say hi next time we’re out and about, we love to have a chat with you all!

Bookish Themes anyone?!?

So last week even though I was out of office I still couldn’t help but get new ideas going. As many of you guys know this year has been my year of reading, after years of never being able to finish a book this year I have so far successfully finished 13 books (with like 60 or more still to read!) slowly slowly and all that! After falling in love with all things books and bookshops this year I feel it needs to happen that we have some bookish themed candles!
